What is on one person’s bucket list is in another person’s backyard🌞
I heard this quote from @stevenfurtick 🙏🏼🙌🏼
To think that others travel far to see the views I call home… while I’m on my mountain top thinking of somewhere someone else calls home that I saw on Tiktok or something. What a perspective shift… We can’t take the blessings we’ve been given for granted while praying for and seeking other blessings. Yes! Seek, explore, advance and enjoy, WHILE being present with a sense of recognition towards what is already yours! This mindset wakes you up to an overwhelming feeling of gratitude that you were hand placed on this world in the position you are in now for a purpose that is unique and not of your own doing for the Glory of Greater than you.✨
“Your bad day could be someone else’s blessing.” It’s easy to get caught in a tunnel vision of admiration or even envy towards those who have what we want or more. There will always be something that someone has that is “greater” than what you think you have: material belonging, personal skill, physical health, societal beauty, mental stability, family support, social abundance, etc. Yet, there are people looking to you and what you were blessed with in the same way!✨
Give your “backyard” the honor of being on your bucket list to check off! I think of “backyard” in terms of our present state of living, physical coordinates, cultural origin, family, upbringing, struggles that turn into strengths, etc. The life I live in the present and the opportunities that are open to me, I am constantly reminding myself to be appreciative of while in my stride towards “checking off my bucket list”.⚡️
