How to put a filter on reality:
Filter your intake
What you consume, will consume you. You don’t need to listen to the news everyday, in fact you don’t even need social media everyday. If you’ve ever done a social media cleanse before, you know that you don’t miss out on anything truly meaningful.
Filter your network
You are who you know. Your social circle plays far greater of a roll in your inner happiness and personal growth path than you think. It’s okay to “unfollow” people in real life who demean you or deplete you. Refine your network to those who are meant to push and support you towards your purpose. Having a strong and diverse social network will help you tap into your authentic self.
Filter your mindset
Mindfully put the filters of positivity and gratitude on your day every morning. Understand that our hearts are deceitful and our minds makes us think our way into a reality that is untrue. We were created uniquely and individually with a purpose, there is too much work to be done than to sit with a negative mind full of self doubt and pity. Get up.
We have the power to change our lives by how we view our surroundings and what we allow ourselves to internalize. We must train our minds towards mentally creating a life we deserve to live and relieve ourselves from the unfulfilling ways the world pulls us.
